Next week visit UK Dairy Day, the UK’s leading free-to-attend dairy trade event, on Wednesday 13^th September at the International Centre, Telford.  The event to network, learn and do business.

UK Dairy Day celebrates all things dairy welcoming everyone connected to the dairy industry to have the opportunity to network, share knowledge, learn and most importantly, do business. This year the event welcomes back NWF Agriculture, Crystalyx and Lely as principal sponsors along with associate sponsors, cattle class sponsors, media partners Farmers Guardian and Holstein International, trade and cattle exhibitors.

Strong industry support of the event continues with over 270 exhibitors committing to exhibition space across the internal and external trade stand areas. The success of the event is a testament to the dedicated team, that year on year delivers the UK’s leading free-to-attend dairy trade event.

Trade exhibitors include feed manufacturers, animal health suppliers, vets, milk buyers, dairy and farm equipment suppliers - plus professional service providers and charities. The International Centre will be the location to be at for anyone connected to the dairy industry to have the opportunity to network, share knowledge, learn and most importantly, do business.

A leading line-up of judges will cast their professional eye over the cattle show ring for the six dairy breeds competing under the spotlights. UK Dairy Day hosts the National Holstein Show, The National Ayrshire Show, The National Brown Swiss Show and classes for Dairy Shorthorn, Guernsey and Jersey. Over 200 cattle stalls are booked for the cattle show. The full cattle show will be live-streamed throughout the day with commentary for those unable to attend UK Dairy Day.

The first floor of the International Centre features the Sharing Knowledge zone with industry panels and seminars. There will be four Industry Panels taking place at 10.30am, 12noon, 1.30pm and 2.45pm with panellists discussing the future of the dairy cow, milk pricing and processing, the dairy industry and your dairy business. Four seminars will also take place and the latest career opportunities will also be advertised.

The external areas at the International Centre will feature practical demonstrations on foot trimming, blocking and knife sharpening by Tim Carter. There will be the ‘Beneath the Black and White’ calf painting where the Scarsdale Vets team will use paint to assist the understanding of calf health and welfare. In Hall 3 foyer members of the NBDC Classification team will run Type Classification and Linear Scoring demonstrations.
