Semex UK was crowned the winner of the UK Dairy Day 2023 New Product Competition, sponsored by IDEXX.  The annual competition was open for exhibitors who had booked trade stand space and companies that were sponsoring the 2023 event. 

The competition was judged by Lilia Kazemi-Egbunike and Danuta Radzio from IDEXX. IDEXX Laboratories, inc. is the global market leader in veterinary diagnostics, software and water, Providing diagnostic tests and software monitoring systems for managing herd and flock health and productivity.

The results were;

Commenting on the winner Lilia and Danuta said, "We have chosen Semex Methane efficiency index as the winner. We see this product as something groundbreaking in the market that addresses the industry challenges with methane and this product ties in well to the net zero targets. Through ongoing education, the company can encourage UK farmers to see the benefits, with an additive effect over generations, but without comprising the desired traits. They presented very good data evidence and the 25-year goal for methane reduction is achievable. Ongoing research enables constant evolution and the product is very innovative, opening farmers to a long-term journey to the new era".

Entries for next year's competition will open in early Summer of 2024.
